Once upon a time I asked if you felt like Instagram hates you. Because I did. I felt like it was a cool kid’s party and I wasn’t invited. I tried to be cool to get them to like me, but they didn’t. Scrolling made me feel left out.
Then quarantine happened and I found myself with only my own home to post. This forced me to show who I really am and not hide behind my work. I decided to throw my own party. I was scared nobody would come. Not only did you guys show up, but you made me realize I had it all wrong. I was chasing attention instead of giving it away. We taught our boys, “Use your power for good.” and I wasn’t.
So thanks to you, this is a place for me to find, follow, like, comment, encourage, and believe in people. This art was created by @lucindaandbluebird from a photo I posted of Charleston. Follow her because the world through her eyes is a more beautiful place. Fill your feed with the ones who seek and find the beauty in everything.
Thank you for showing up and showing me the light. You remind me that we get what we give. #redesignyourworld #lovecominghome
