Congenital disease undergoing infusion therapy. Frontal radiograph shows bowing of the femurs with symmetric sclerotic striping of the long bone metaphyses. Diagnosis: Osteogenesis imperfecta with bisphosphonate lines (zebra stripe sign). During bisphosphonate infusion, increased osteoblastic activity along the metaphyseal aspect of the physis leads to sclerotic lines, which then migrate with patient growth in between infusions. Dense metaphyseal bands such as these have a wide differential diagnosis. #medicinaestetica #memes #medhumor #diseases #hospital #nurse #nursingschool #motivation #usmlestep1📘 ysician #registerednurse #dermatologia #fitness #memes #medicine #medicalschool #mbbs #motivation #medicalscience #medical #mci #medlife #usmle Follow @nursing_officers_rn #usmlestep1  #fmge_mci_exam #neet #nurses #nursingschool #anatomyandphysiology2 #anatomyandphysiology #doctors #diseases #surgery #nitesh_m_9411 #nursing_officers_rn

Xanthoma  It is a deposition of yellowish cholesterol-rich material that can appear anywhere in the body in various disease states . They are cutaneous manifestations of lipidosis in which lipids accumulate in large foam cells within the skin. They are associated with hyperlipidemias, both primary and secondary types. Tendon xanthomas are associated with type II hyperlipidemia, chronic biliary tract obstruction, primary biliary cirrhosis and the rare metabolic disease cerebrotendineous xanthomatosis. Palmar xanthomata and tuberoeruptive xanthomata (over knees and elbows) occur in type III hyperlipidemia. #medicomdunk #medicalpathway #medicalstudents #medicalsign #medicalprocedure #meds #usmlepreparation #usmleprep #usmlestep #usmlestudy #usmle_preparation #usmlestep3 #usmlestep2 #usmlestep1 #anatomyandphysiology2 #anatomyandphysiology #anatomydrawing #anatomy #anatomystudy #greysanatomy #nursingschool #nurselife #nursepractitioner #nurselove

Pulmonary hypoplasia Pulmonary hypoplasia or aplasia is a rare condition that is characterized by is incomplete development of the lungs, resulting in an abnormally low number or size of bronchopulmonary segments or alveoli. It is a congenital malformation, which mostly occurs secondary to other fetal abnormalities that interfere with normal development of the lungs. These abnormalities include : Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) Pleural effusions (fluid buildup around the lungs) Bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) or severe oligohydramnios Pulmonary hypoplasia is typically detected through a routine ultrasound or MRI. Depending on the size of the fetal lungs and the cause of the pulmonary hypoplasia, different treatment plans can be recommended. In some cases fetal surgery can help reverse the effect of the pulmonary hypoplasia while the baby is still developing in the womb. #memes #medicine #medicalschool #mbbs #motivation #medicalscience #medical #mci #medlife #usmle #usmlestep1 #usmleprep #fmge #neet #nurses #nursingschool #anatomyandphysiology2 #anatomyandphysiology #doctors #diseases #surgery

It's only an extra chromosome!!👍🏼♥️ The term trisomy is used to describe the presence of three chromosomes, rather than the usual matched pair of chromosomes. Down syndrome is a chromosomal condition that occurs when an individual has a partial or complete extra copy of chromosome 21 and is associated with intellectual disability, a characteristic facial appearance, and weak muscle tone (hypotonia) in infancy. All affected individuals experience cognitive delays, but the intellectual disability is usually mild to moderate. Children with Down syndrome can usually do most things that any young child can do, such as walking, talking, dressing, and being toilet trained. However, they generally do these things later than other children. The degree of intellectual disability that accompanies the syndrome varies widely and ranges from mild to moderate to severe. Most falls within the mild to moderate range and they can live a totally independent life, make relationships, and work regularly. Individuals with Down syndrome have an increased risk of developing several medical conditions. These include gastroesophageal reflux, which is a backflow of acidic stomach contents into the esophagus, and celiac disease, which is an intolerance of a wheat protein called gluten.  They often experience a gradual decline in thinking ability (cognition) as they age, but this usually starts at around age 50! #memes #medicine #medicalschool #mbbs #motivation #medicalscience #medical #mci #medlife #usmle #usmlestep1 #usmleprep #fmge #fmge_mci_exam #neet #nurses #nursingschool #anatomyandphysiology2 #anatomyandphysiology #doctors #diseases #surgery

Pleural effusion Pleural effusions are abnormal accumulations of fluid within the pleural space.  They may result from a variety of pathological processes which overwhelm the pleura's ability to reabsorb fluid. Pathology Physiologically, the pleural cavities normally contain approximately 15 mL of serous pleural fluid . Any process which results in more fluid forming than can be absorbed will produce a pleural effusion. Radiographic features Chest radiograph (erect) Both PA and AP erect films are insensitive to small amounts of fluid. Features include: blunting of the costophrenic angle blunting of the cardiophrenic angle fluid within the horizontal or oblique fissures #medicomdunk #medicalpathway #medicalsign #medicalprocedure #medical #medicalstudents #medicalscience #medicalpictures #usmlepreparation #usmleprep #usmlestep #usmlestudy #usmle_preparation #usmlestep3 #usmlestep2 #usmlestep1 #usmle #anatomyandphysiology2 #anatomyandphysiology #anatomydrawing #anatomystudy #medicinestudent #rdiografía #radiologist #radiology#nurses #nursing #nursepractitioner

Wondering what’s actually happening in there with all those little kicks and 👐flutters? . What you’re seeing is a c-section, where the baby was born in the amniotic sac/water bag. See how thin the bag is? Inside is amniotic fluid and that sweet little baby! This baby is either pretty severely IUGR (IntraUterine Growth Restriction/small) or born premature bc its really tiny. As your baby grows it’ll have less room in there and the kicks won’t feel quite as pronounced. · · A cesarean delivery — also known as a C-section or cesarean section — is the surgical delivery of a baby. It involves one incision in the mother’s abdomen and another in the uterus. It’s a common procedure that’s used to deliver nearly one-third of babies in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and PreventionTrusted Source. Cesarean deliveries are generally avoided before 39 weeks of pregnancy so the child has proper time to develop in the womb. Sometimes, however, complications arise and a cesarean delivery must be performed prior to 39 weeks. · _ Follow to learn everyday! . . #memes #medicine #medicalschool #mbbs #motivation #medicalscience #medical #mci #medlife #usmle #usmlestep1 #usmleprep #fmge #fmge_mci_exam #neet #nurses #nursingschool #anatomyandphysiology2 #anatomyandphysiology #doctors #diseases #surgery

true hero isn't measured by his physical size, but the strength to preserve and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles! This little newborn is tightly attached to life after a open heart surgery to correct an uncommon congenital cardiovascular anomaly known as Interrupted aortic arch, where there is a separation (either discontinuity or absence) between the ascending and descending aorta. It can either be complete or connected by a remnant fibrous band. An accompanying large ventricular septal defect and/or patent ductus arteriosus is frequently present. It is thought to be a result of faulty development of the aortic arch system during the fifth to seventh week of fetal development. She proved to overcome all odds, and a fist bump was welldeserved. 🤜🤛 . .
