The new normal is settling in... it’s like I’m at mile 6 of 26.2. I’ve got my stride, settled into my breath, but I’ve been here before and I know I’ve got a long way to go.
It’s bringing me right back to the Boston Marathon last year. I’m used to cheering for you, but hearing your cheers, seeing you briefly along the course, reading your signs and hearing you yell, inspired me to keep going strong, just like now. The day we shut down, the class pack and gift card sales rolled in and I looked over at @race_with_rach and cried. Yep, straight tears. I was so overwhelmed with your generosity and support. Our online store is about 10x more successful than I thought, every day I’m rushing around getting orders together, thanks to YOU. You’re asking how you can help, telling me I’ve got this because I’ve done this before, telling me I’m doing a good job, posting your MYSTRYDE workouts (and crushing them btw 💪🏼) buying gift cards and class packs, signing up for The Daily Stryde, asking to not freeze your memberships, and as I tell you we’re here for you, you’re saying it right back. We’re getting emails just saying that you’re here for us, and that you’ll be here when we re-open, and just to check in. I’m used to being the one to cheer you on, but the roles have changed and its honestly EVERYTHING🙏🏻
This community has gone through 2 shut downs in one year, and it’s because of YOU we are still here and we are still strong. I just want to say THANK YOU. I hear each of your cheers, I hear your yelling, I hear you loud and clear. It means more than you can ever imagine, and it’s going to get me through this marathon. But don’t forget, there are a lot of others out there right now who need some cheering , so let’s keep them going strong #strydeon #thesweatlife
