The weekend is here... oh wait, we can’t go anywhere. We can wallow in our self pity, or we can look around and be grateful for what is in front of us.
As a mom, my biggest struggle has been my cup being drained and never replenished while taking care of everyone around me. You always feel defeated because you’re trying to be everything to everyone and it’s just not realistic.
When I was in mental health treatment, a therapist told our group something that was life changing for me: whether your cup is empty or your cup is full, be thankful you still have a cup. The cup represents life and it is a reminder that you are worth living. We need to take care of our own bodies, minds and souls so out of the overflow our love splashes onto those around us. Keep on going. We will persevere through the unknown with the Lord’s strength. Let’s be thankful we have “cups”.
