IT’S OUT! I was told not to release my clay animation at such a time because no publications wanted to premiere it, it wasn't the right time, 'no one cares about or needs art in the face of all this hardship'. But I disagree. I believe that art can bring transformation, peace, introspection, love. It is the thing that can bring us together and turn fear into inspiration for change. So... here it is my friends. 'Up'. A storry about consumerism and the insatiable desire our world has for more.
We are being humbled right now by the universe, realizing that all this 'more' we desired, that we thought could make us happy, that we proclaimed was for the betterment of our families or even humanity, could be taken from us in an instant. We need to slow things down, act as a collective instead of these egotistical individuals we've become, in order to actually be able to see change in our world. We must now look within for our happiness and be grateful. Not in things... because things and money and stuff come and go. But our health, the days we get to look our loved ones in the face and share a meal and get to hug them, THAT is life.
I wrote, directed and animated a claymation music video to the song 'Up' off my album. 4 months working in my mother's basement with my friends @cavaticamakeup and @rollinwaugh, we learned to make this piece of art from scratch, with no prior knowledge of the medium. 8 film festivals later, here we are. Congrats my friends! It's finally out!!! Check it out on my Youtube Channel —> link in bio
