(CW- depression and body issues implied)
Real (long) talk-
Posting pictures of ourselves is a huge challenge for us. We both have MASSIVE issues about being in front of a camera that are uncomfortably two fold.
We hate images of ourselves. Without going into the grim details, looking at them afterwards causes intense hatred and depression, which makes editing understandably difficult, and secondly, we both subscribe to a very "art speaks for itself" ideal, where putting ourselves in the picture, both literally or figuratively, ie Posting political stances, humanitarian issues, things that interest us etc takes away from the pieces we create by moving the focus from the art to ourselves.
While we understand that the second is a shitty old fashioned concept we are both stuck with from art school and the only way to get over the first is to take more photos and slowly adjust to them, we're avoiding it studiously by convincing ourselves we're right and you don't want to see us, just the art.
Are we deluding ourselves with that? Do you actually want to see more from us as creators? Tutorials? WIP videos? Behind the scenes? Or are we correct thinking you're just here for the finished pretties?
(there is also a poll in our stories)
TL;DR: We hate photos of ourselves, but do you want to see more of us making the art?
