It’s okay to enjoy exercising and how it makes you feel, but in all honesty if you are “having fun” while actually exercising. Then you probably aren’t working at a high enough intensity. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy exercising but I won’t lie during the actual time I spend exercising it’s uncomfortable and it’s burns muscularly like a son of gun!
Working at high intensities allows me to not only work out less and in less time, but get better results at the same time.
To many times we think more is better and when it comes to exercising it’s actually the complete opposite. The more time you spend exercising at high intensities, the longer you need to spend resting and recovering.
Results come not necessarily from exercising but what we do post exercise (The recovery process) This means resting and recovering your muscles with proper nutritious dense foods, getting enough rest before taxing your muscles again, getting enough sleep, enough protein, all factors when it comes to building your body back up! Remember we want to build our body not only back to our baseline but above it! (Super-compensation)
I’ve gotten the best results I’ve ever gotten when I decided to not only workout less, but be much more measured and effective (high intensity) when it came to exercising.
I’m also not saying you can’t get results exercising traditionally with sets and reps. I’m just saying what we do and how we exercise is much safer, effective and practical!
