•🌼happy throwback thursday🌼•
today we wanted to tell our friends some facts about bengal cats!
we are domesticated (technically, domesticated is F4+, which is 4 generations from the leopard), but we were bred from small asian leopard cats, so we have that wild gene that sets us apart from a lot of our other furrends 🐆🐾
ᗪIᗪ YOᑌ KᑎOᗯ:
•Bengal cats have either spotted or marbled coats. They are the only domestic cat breed that has rosette markings.
•Bengals are extremely active and alert. They almost always need the attention on them, and must be entertained (cat wheels were practically built for them!!)! They do well with harness training and love going outdoors, and are also amazing hunters (so keep them supervised!)
•Some bengals have a “glitter gene”, which gives their coat a bright, iridescent shine that truly sparkles ✨
•Bengal cats can jump up to 3 times their height- their back legs are longer than their front legs, so their hips in back stand taller than their front shoulders (just like a leopard 🐆)
•Bengals are extremely loud and vocal, and will have many conversations with you throughout the day (and make a variety of different sounds too- most of the time, if you know your cat, you know exactly what they mean)
