This is why it’s so important, to lean into our own understanding of who we are.
Being secure within the bounds of who we are mentally, spiritually & physically, can cause another’s insecurities to pull up at their surface. - it’s important that we understand, that this is not a reflection of our self love journey, but rather a reflection of theirs.
Many times before, i have been made to feel that my self respect, self preservation, self love & self awareness was something i should be ‘humble’ with. - but remember, when we allow ourselves to be questioned or unsettled about who we are as people, we allow others to pierce us with their inability to acknowledge their true selves and we leave a whole within us, leaving us open to potential pain that becomes an insecurity dumping ground.
Understand who you are. Treasure her/him, and build your values at the feet of your unfaltering foundations of self. The truth is, not everyone will like us - that’s more than ok, but some, will not like us for the simple reason that we like ourselves. - this is not something to question about yourself - EVER.
Love who you are, embrace your journey, forgive yourself, forgive others. - be kind, but protect your space.
