❤ M.E. Myalgia Encephalomyelitis❤
I have suffered with m.e. since I was 16 its something I still learn to live with daily.
M.E. also knownas chronic fatigue syndrome (cfs) is a long-term illness with a wide range of symptoms.
The main symptoms are feeling extremely tired & generally unwell. Other symptoms include:
💕muscle or joint pain
💕a sore throat or sore glands that are not swollen
💕problems thinking, remembering or concentrating
💕flu like dlsymptoms
💕feeling dizzy or sick
💕fast or irregular heartbeats (heart palpitation)
Most people find overexercising makes their symptoms worse. so each individual has to find out for themselves.
The severity of symptoms can vary from day to day, or even within a day.
Unfortunately there is no specific test for CFS/ME, so it's diagnosed based on your symptoms and by ruling out other conditions that could be causing your symptoms.
No one knows exactly what causes M.e. but there are a number of theories:
💕triggered by infection
💕viral infections such as Glandular fever
💕bacterial infections, e.g. pneumonia
💕problems with the immune system
💕mental health problem e.g. stress, trauma
💕 your genes
Living with m.e. can be very difficult. 3xtreme tiredness and other physical symptoms can make everyday activities hard. I have had to make major changes to my life. I can't go out on nights out, I find it hard socialising, I can't cope with big groups of people and loads of noise, I've had to completely change my diet which making eating out hard.
My page may show me working out but thats a max of an hour a day and I adjust the rest of the day to compensate for that. M.e. can take its toll on your mental health so for me working out is my release. It make me feel 'normal for that period of time.
