Depending on where you live, traditional summer camp might be off the table due to the pandemic. Caden recently participated in a Roblox Game Design virtual computer camp with @idtech! #AD
All the summer camps are taught virtually by a certified iD Tech instructor and the class sizes are kept to 5 kids or less. They have courses such as; coding with Java and C++, Python and 3D modeling, and also game design with Minecraft and Roblox. Caden learned the fundamentals of video game design, how to use tools in Roblox Studio, and how to create and publish his own obby (obstacle course). The friendly instructor answered any questions Caden had and if Caden had technical difficulties, he was able to share his computer screen for guidance.
This structured course was 2hrs daily for 5 days, with a short break. After class, kids had the option to play and explore the program further if they wanted. They could even play each other's obbys that they had created! Caden had so much fun learning and bonding with kids his age virtually. He looked forward to class starting every day!
