In the aftermath of the gang war, Peter’s failure to take down the Kingpin ignites an underlying emptiness, leading him to reconsider the road he’d been traveling down for the past year. He had pushed away everyone close to him — everyone who cared about him — and entered a relationship with someone who has only been making his life worse. He comes to understand that Peter Parker is just as important as Spider-Man, and neither one deserves to be traded for the other in hopes of a better life. Whether he likes it or not, Peter Parker & Spider-Man are stuck together, and neither one can exist without the other. With this, he makes several decisions to put back the pieces of his life: he reconciles with May after a year of not speaking, permanently breaks up with Felicia due to the relationship’s damaging effects, and makes a brand new red & blue suit for himself, choosing to ditch the black colors that he previously wore. The journey to rectify his mistakes is far, but he begins to finally steer away from the direction he was heading, ready to pave a new path for himself. As the season closes, and everything wraps itself up — it’s revealed that Mary Jane Watson has finally returned to New York City, after previously leaving at the end of Season 6. Her return leaves Peter frozen in conflicting emotions, with so much to say...and thus, Season 7 comes to a close.
To be continued in Spider-Man: Season 8, coming soon! 🕸
