Good golly! This winter is kicking our butts! Not to mention the ‘other’ huge thing on our minds these days!
Grateful for our remaining bales of hay. We have moved our horses in with our herd of 12 bovines and one lama to ration our reserves while ensuring our crew gets all the needed hay and warmth during the last -30 degree nights! Snow hasn’t stopped here, even skifs is enough to be pushing our winter limits - both emotionally and physically - over the edge. We are ready for a spring melt, some clearing fields, grass growing, iceless ponds, heat lamps off, waters to stop freezing, pools to be filled for the ducks, outside play time for our feathered friends.
We are ready for warmer sunnier days ☀️, so we can cut back on our feed and hay demands, and watch everyone begin to pasture.
We are doing all we can, playing smart with our reserves, watching our funds, adapting our day to day while keeping everyone safe, healthy and happy.
#stayhome so we can end this pandemic!
#staysafe so we can invite you out when this is all done
#stayhealthy so that we can see your smiles soon
Also ☝️ maybe now is a great time to try more compassion in our lives - did you know there has been a rise in 🌱 vegan, plant based homes and individuals since this whole pandemic has started ?
Worthy of a thought I’d say.
