God of Cookery
This film was released in 1996
If you have never seen a Stephen Chow film I absolutely recommend this film. If you have seen a Stephen Chow but haven't seen this, I recommend this film.
It is some parts a foodie film, some parts Iron Chef parody, some parts absolutely nuts comedy. The plot is hard to describe. It is comedy about a chef, but the story is so unpredictable and paced in such a way that it defies you to figure out what direction this story will go next.
This film was written, produced, directed, and starring Stephen Chow. This film absolutely has the stamp of his comedic genius all over it. It also stars long-time collaborator Ng Man-Tat and the super talented Karen Mok.

This is the Universe Laser and Video release.
I first saw this at #alamodrafthouse in #austintx at their original location. I have been in awe of Stephen Chow since then.
