🥟🥢MADE DUMPLINGS FOR THE FIRST TIME!🥟🥢
Thanks for the inspo of your pics @thechinesefoodie and @canweeat_ ! 😍💖
Took the plunge and made something that really tested my patience last night 😂 Definitely wouldn’t make these just for anyone! All the way from scratch, these took me almost four hours!
Though not perfect, aaahhh I’m so proud to have tried something I found to be so arduous! Also, not one of my wrappers ended up round but don’t worry, the folds will conceal them!
Because I was dealing with minced pork, I cooked them first and let them cool!
Here’s the list:
🥟Ajinomoto Ginisa powder (Filipino)
🥟Small pinch of salt
FOR THE DUMPLING WRAPPERS:
🥟Season the raw mince with ginger paste, salt, pepper, soy sauce and ginisa powder
🥟Fry the garlic, cloves then immediately follow with your FINELY chopped carrots, celery and red pepper in that order
🥟Add the mince, more pepper, bit more soy sauce. Push down the mince so they’re as crumbly as possible. Remove the cloves and leave to cool.
🥟For the wrappers, combine the flour with water until it’s a non-sticky dough, leave to rest for 20mins.
🥟Form a whole in the dough like@my pics, cut them up then roll into round wrappers. Shape them to your choice.
Boil or boil then fry them, up to you! Enjoy 💖🙌🏼
❗️DO NOT WASTE THE SPARE DOUGH❗️Cut them with a knife and dip them in some soy sauce, white cane vinegar and garlic for a simple flavour. Use the same sauce as your dumpling dip!
