✨First week of “normalish” done✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ohh and what a week it has been! Going back to sort of normality feels good! I am a creature of habits and I love my routine so this week was bringing me some real challenges ! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👉🏻WORK- has been amazing! When someone says “you are lucky your clients are coming back”.....it has nothing to do with luck! I worked freaking hard during this lockdown to keep my clients “on track” and make sure I am giving them enough support! And it wasn’t unnoticed ! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👉🏻TRAINING- yeah, feels good to feel pain all over my body! 😅 it really does! It’s that feeling of pain, tenderness, and stiffness that some of us will love because it makes us feel as though we’ve accomplished something, but for others the reason why we struggle to get up out of bed on some mornings! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Doms are not necessarily the feeling of how hard you worked- some people goes to train and absolutely kill themself to have this feeling! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You can easily get DOMS after not lifting as heavy or simply implementing new movements to your training 👩🏼‍💻 . . . . How To Eat To Get The Most Out Of Your Workouts ❤️ ⁣ ⁣ BEFORE:⁣ 🌟 Studies suggest that eating or drinking carbohydrates before a workout can not only help your performance but can allow you to workout for longer and at a higher intensity. ⁣ ⁣ Meal ideas for this include oatmeal, peanut butter and toast, a granola bar, bagels, muesli and fruits like bananas and apples 😊⁣ ⁣ DURING:⁣ 🌟 DRINK WATER 💦 this is so crucial, always carry a water bottle with you when exercising and remember to drink at least 2/3L a day or even 4L depending on the intensity of your exercise!⁣ ⁣ ⁣ AFTER:⁣ 🌟 Studies show that to best support muscle recovery and to replace your glycogen stores after a workout you should consume a meal containing both carbs and protein.⁣ ⁣ Meals ideas include protein shakes, protein bars, recovery smoothies, lean meats such as turkey and chicken, or fish like tuna (these are all tasty on crackers or bread🙊) salmon, sweet potato, eggs, quark or cottage cheese. ⁣ ⁣ Hope this helps anyone 🥰 what’s your go to pre or post workout snack? 🙊⁣ ⁣ Disclaimer: this is all based on research and personal experience. I could have made a complicated set of abs workout variations.. but the truth is ... my 10 mins abs are very basic most of the time. I like to keep it simple😎 - 🔟⏱Perform all exercises for 1 minute each until the 10 minutes run out. - 🔹Plank . 🔹Toe touches . 🔹Sit up . 🔹Side plank left . 🔹Side plank right . 🔹Side plank pulse left . 🔹Side plank pulse right . 🔹Plank . 🔹Toe touches . 🔹Sit up - I always do abs after my upper body session (I have no energy, or time, left after lower body days🤣), twice a week (but if you think about it, a lot of exercises would work my abs too, front squat for example 👌🏼👌🏼) - ❓How many times a week do you train your core? How long for❓ - Enjoy hump day, this little workout will be my abs workout tomorrow 🙌🏼

I’ve seen a lot of fitness influencers recently pushing a pretty toxic diet message with heavy emphasis on calories I just want to remind you that CALORIES ARE GOOD! FOOD IS GOOD! you need calories to function, to hit those PBs in the gym, to go out and make amazing memories and just live a full and happy life! You should not be scared of calories! Yes, too many calories over an extended period of time isn’t good for you. But too much of anything isn’t good!! Enjoying a higher calorie item of food/ meal doesn’t make you a bad person and you shouldn’t feel guilty for having and enjoying the food you enjoy! Your food choices shouldn’t be tied to your worth and they shouldn’t influence how you feel about yourself! Please don’t deny yourself the food you love or restrict yourself. This isn’t sustainable and will result in binge eating later on Calories aren’t the enemy. Food isn’t the enemy All food fits in moderation as part of a healthy and balanced lifestyle 💙

Full Day of Eating: for weight GAIN/ HA recovery! As you guys know I’m continuing to eat in a large surplus even though my period came back (I’m currently waiting for number 2 🤞🏼) I actually tracked a couple of days last week, purely to educate myself on how much I was eating intuitively and to check I was around 2500 calories. I hit around 2400 for both days so pretty happy with that. I know some days it’ll be more so it’ll even out across the week. I’m still having two breakfasts even on rest days and during the day I focus on keeping fats and carbs high as well as protein ofcourse! Meal 1: two slices of sourdough topped with @myproteinuk crunchy peanut butter and 🍌 Meal 2: 3 of my pumpkin oat bars (recipe on my blog) Meal 3: tuna and cheese toastie... obsessed!! Snack: @myproteinuk gooey cookie 😍 Meal 3: Thai chicken curry with rice (85g dried weight) and crackers Meal 4: my usual dessert of yoghurt, berries, cereal, ice cream. Stop sexualising fitness I didn’t make this account for attention or to sexualise myself I made this account for me. To keep me motivated and track my personal journey When my account grew, I then wanted to use this platform to help inspire others on their fitness journey and show that it’s possible to be healthy while eating what you want, exercising in a way you enjoy and at a level/ amount that suits you and your life For the most part, I would like to think I’ve been successful at helping some people on here! However, I started to get the occasional degrading and derogatory comment in my DMs. I’m sure you can all guess the sort of things these vile messages said 🙄 I won’t lie, as much as I try to block these messages and ignore them. Some did make me want to delete this account and go shower forever. Why should I be made to feel so uncomfortable for posting about something I love and posting pictures of me just stood smiling wearing active wear!? @strongerwithruby posted something on this a bid ago and someone commented saying: it comes with the territory, either go on private or put up with it Why should we have to hide ourselves away or just deal with sexual harassment for trying to help others on their fitness journey!?!? Just because I’m confident in my body and I post pictures of myself doesn’t mean I want to receive these kinds of messages! Imagine thinking we should teach women to put up with sexual harassment rather than teaching these vile people that they shouldn’t be disrespectful and derogatory to women Imagine if someone was directing these comments at your mum/ sister/ daughter/ aunt/ cousins etc. 🤷🏼‍♀️ you wouldn’t be telling them just to put up with it would you? Your vile and disgusting comments are not welcome. Please go and learn some human decency and how to have respect for women 😊

I took some time out for life! I had such an overwhelming urge to step back for a little bit Friday as I could feel I was taking a dip mentally and just wasn’t feeling myself. There were a lot of things buzzing round my brain, feeling like I’m failing and so huge compared to everyone else so on an app that primarily shows everyone progressions and it was becoming more harmful than helpful! It’s so easy to watch how productive others are with their day and week by week hit their weight loss goals so in all honesty the urge to under eat and overtrain were insane. But I reminded myself how miserable and exhausting that path is, and how I truly was just getting way too into my own head & this mindset will pass. And even though right now I’m still feeling pretty meh I know this is such a temporary feeling and like everything it will pass. We all have lows, some lower than others & that’s okay as long as you get your shit together eventually. On a positive I’ve only got a 3 day working week and there’s no better day than a Monday for a fresh start. I hope you guys have the best start to the week!💗 . I am so grateful! Having this account has taught me so much! I’ve learnt new ways of exercising that I love, I’ve discovered new food and recipes that I can’t get enough of and I’ve learnt so much about myself too! I have been able to grow so much in terms of my confidence and have pushed myself miles outside of my comfort zone! I am incredibly grateful for this platform and the opportunities it has given me. From meeting amazing people, working with brands I love and being able to use my voice to speak on topics that are important to me. It’s also been a huge help in regards to my mental health during lockdown. I’ve been feeling a bit lonely during lockdown, especially as my area is due to go into tier 3, so to have this place where I have been able to talk and connect with so many lovely people has been so amazing! PUMPKIN SPICE COOKIES 🎃🍪⁣ ⁣ Been a little busy in the kitchen today and made some of these pumpkin flavoured cookies and lemme tell you they’re soooo yummy!⁣ ⁣ INGREDIENTS;⁣ 🎃 190g rolled oats⁣ 🎃 220g pumpkin purée (I got mine from Sainsbury’s in the American food section)⁣ 🎃 50g @myproteinuk vanilla whey isolate⁣ 🎃 30g pumpkin seed mix⁣ 🎃 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp nutmeg (optional) 🎃 20ml sugar free pumpkin spice syrup (I got from TKMAXX last year)⁣ ⁣ METHOD;⁣ 👉🏼 Simply mix everything together in a bowl then spoon the mixture into circles onto a lined baking tray. Instead of asking “does this diet work?” 👉🏼 Ask “is this diet sustainable?”.⁣ ⁣ Having an “all or nothing” approach to anything will set you up for a hard time getting to your goals.⁣ ⁣ Almost “any extreme diet” will work in theory - but can you sustain it for a long period of time? 🤔Probably not. 🤷🏼‍♀️⁣ ⁣ There’s definitely going to be days that are harder than others but it’s important to look at your overall consistency. ⁣ ⁣ It’s all about creating sustainable habits over time into our daily lives ✌🏼⁣ ⁣ Don’t just cut out a food group (I’m looking at those carb haters 👀) because it’s the new trend or your best friend said so.⁣ ⁣ Educate yourself or get a good coach who can help educate you on nutrition basics and how to make positive sustainable nutrition habits✌🏼⁣ ⁣ I personally teach my clients about flexible dieting and some basic nutrition habits to incorporate to create their own meal plans. Flexible dieting is a great starting point in regards to understanding nutrition and food quality. How it started, how it’s going... 1st pic: October 2011 - 6ft 2, 10st 2lbs, 15 years old, before I joined the gym. I was playing football and workout out from home doing simple exercises, pull ups, press ups and bicep curls. This is the actual photo that made me want to join the gym and stop being the tall skinny kid, I had a silly growth spurt at 14/15 were I grew 8 inches in 6 months but didn’t really put on any weight, just grew like a beanstalk 😂 2nd pic: Today, 24 years old. Fast forward 9 years of being in the gym, 3 years of rowing back in college, now 6ft 4 and weighing in this morning at 15st 10lbs (220lbs/100kg). Dropped about 5-7lbs recently, feeling good 👌 Can’t wait for the gym to reopen tomorrow 🙌 #howitstarted #howitstartedvshowitsgoing

🧡FRIYAY🧡 . The weekend is in reach! Had a wonderful 10 hour sleep as it’s been a while since I’ve had a proper rest day. I do struggle with just allowing myself to do nothing & actually REST but today the only exercise I’ll be doing is painting a wall 🤣 something that I thought would be interesting to share is my weight! I stepped on the scales for the first time in a while and compared to exactly a month ago, my weight is the same. It instantly dispels the worry people commonly have of “if I eat more I’ll gain so much weight”. And being completely honest this week I haven’t been as dedicated to sticking to my macros, I’ve probably been eating 3,000 calories a day instead of my aim of 2,500 as life is just getting to me! I’ve had a few slip ups over the last 3 weeks like I knew I would but I do feel like I’m on the right journey & obviously it’s not bearing too harshly on my body! Taking it one day at a time and honestly having more food freedom has changed my mood immensely I just feel WAY happier right now! Hope you all have a wonderful Friday!🧡 . Never let success go to your head; never let failure get to your heart 💓 ⁣ ⁣ I didn’t deliver what I envisioned in March and I remember telling mum literally last week maybe I should just give up bodybuilding because I don’t” have the genetics 🧬🤦🏼‍♀️😂 ⁣ I think these thoughts and this experience is a massive wake up call to anyone on a fitness journey (or on any life mission) right now to achieving their goals.⁣ ⁣ REMINDER 👉🏼 NO ONE one is born great. No one is “born a doctor”, no one is “born an Olympic gold medalist”. No one is born squatting 200kgs!!!!🤪⁣ ⁣ It takes TIME, REPETITION & A STRONG WILL to achieve anything. (And a lot of the top bikini Pros are also Latino so #noexcuses for genetics 😉🤣).⁣ ⁣ As long as you’re wholeheartedly aiming to be better than what you were yesterday and stay focused on YOUR OWN GOALS, ON YOUR OWN TIME LINE - YOU WILL SUCCEED! 💫⁣ ⁣ Along the way you will make mistakes, but they’re just a learning curve. There’s going to be plenty of ups and downs, unexpected life events that pop in the way - stay the course and trust the process 🙏🏼💪🏼⁣ ⁣ It’s great to have a time line for your goals but getting them ticked off no matter how long it takes - is the real win. Try this “trainer approved” workout to get a beach body! 😒😒😒 Do you know what is so fun about exercise is because it’s so unique to each person! The best exercise in the whole world is 🥁 The one that you enjoy! It’s really that simple - the exercise you enjoy is the best for you because it’s the one you will want to do, be motivated to do and you will be consistent with it Exercise isn’t a punishment. It’s a celebration of your body’s ability and potential If you love HIIT, do HIIT. If you love dancing, do dancing. If you love lifting, then lift. If you love yoga, do yoga! Don’t feel like you need to do a specific type of exercise just because some people claim that it’s the best! If you don’t enjoy it you won’t want to stick with it and therefore you won’t get the long term health benefits from it!

CHOCOLATE AND PUMPKIN BAKED OATS 🎃⁣ ⁣ This is definitely one for the dark and gloomy mornings! Cooked up this bowl yesterday and it was deeeeeelicious 😋⁣ ⁣ INGREDIENTS;⁣ • 70g oats⁣ • 100g pumpkin purée⁣ • 25g @myproteinuk chocolate brownie protein powder⁣ • 1 tbsp @myvegan cacao powder⁣ • 1 tbsp sugar free maple syrup⁣ • 1/2 tsp baking powder ⁣ • 150ml @alpro US almond milk⁣ • @sweetfreedomuk chocolate brownie choc shot sauce⁣ ⁣ METHOD;⁣ ➖ Preheat oven to 180 degrees⁣ ➖ Mix everything together in a bowl (apart from the chocolate sauce) and transfer to an oven proof dish⁣ ➖ Bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes until cooked through⁣ ➖ Leave to cool slightly and drizzle over the chocolate sauce⁣ ⁣ 471 calories⁣ 60g carbs⁣ 31g protein⁣ 9g fat⁣ ⁣ LIKE, SAVE AND TRY for yourself 🤩⁣ ⁣ p.s. Episode 2 of Dumbbells only HIIT workout 🔥 - Another little workout you can do anywhere with just some dumbbells 🙌🏼 - Time cap: 20 mins: . 1️⃣Alternate dumbbells press x20 . 2️⃣Burpees over the.. dumbbells x15 . 3️⃣Dumbbell thrusters x10 . 4️⃣Renegade row x5 - It is a short 20 mins workout, so make sure you push through those reps 😋 - 💘I love a HIIT workout because I really don’t have any excuses not to train!😅 So if I am in a rush in the gym, or for some reason I can’t go, I just make up something with the equipment available. 🍕What I eat on pizza day. Just over 2100 calories. - If you follow my stories you know Friday is pizza day. We don’t miss it, ever😎 - 💁🏻‍♀️Even if I think pizza is not unhealthy and shouldn’t be a treat but just another meal, I can’t ignore the fact it is a 100% carb meal😂 - So if you train for a purpose or you are on a diet, pizza is not the most macro friendly choice. This, of course, shouldn’t stop anyone from eating it. I am just conscious of it, so I have some un-written rules (that I am about to actually write down 😂) on pizza day: . ✅High protein meals throughout the day . ✅Make it a leg day - higher energy expenditure . ✅Move a bit more than usual, when possible - 🥣For breakfast I would avoid porridge and instead go for yogurt and a scoop of protein in it to maximise protein intake (with all the possible toppings I find in the cupboard, of course) . 😋Snack 1: @quornuk cocktails sausages . 🥙For lunch I would avoid things like pasta or bread and go for some sort of meat substitute with vegetables. . 😋 snack 2: blueberries protein smoothie . 🍕So at night, I can smash my pizza guilt free! - I never miss my pudding too, otherwise I get really grumpy! 🍦🍫 - Leg days usually requires higher carbs because you need to fuel your lifts! This is why pizza day is usually also my lower body day. - I try to move more, having a longer session in the gym or just finding excuses to take my steps up, when possible of course. - ⚖️Calories are just over 2100 but of course depends on your portion size. Once again, this is just a daily example to say: 💕eat the food you love, even if you are trying to lose weight! Just be mindful of what you are eating and the quantities..💁🏻‍♀️ - ❓Does anyone else try to fit their favorite foods in their diets but mindful of having a good macro ratio throughout the day❓ . . . ❗️Split squat tips. Save for your next session❗️ - As much as I love to do weighted split squats I always remind myself that a movement performed incorrectly is not worth the effort. - You want to perform the movement correctly ❌not just to avoid hurting yourself but also because you won’t be working the muscle you are supposed to if you are doing a movement with the wrong form❗️ - So here are some tips💁🏻‍♀️; . ✅Most of the time the only place where to rest your foot would be a bench, so that will do. But if you can, use something a bit lower than that. You’ll find your quads will have more work to do than when the box is at a lower level👌🏼 . ✅Before starting make sure your toe is aligned with your knee 📐 . ✅Keep your chest up and don’t lean forward . ✅Keep your core tight . ✅Keep your pelvis neutral, don’t arch your back - I hope these tips will help you find the correct form! I think going to the gym knowing what you are doing (and doing it right!)makes you so much more confident!🤟🏼😎

🌏World Mental health day. - This day will hopefully remind us all to take a step back and reflect on this topic and how it impacts our every day life. - 📔Most mental health symptoms have traditionally been divided into groups called either ‘neurotic’ or ‘psychotic’ symptoms. . ▶️‘Neurotic’ covers those symptoms which can be regarded as severe forms of ‘normal’ emotional experiences such as depression, anxiety or panic. . ▶️Less common are ‘psychotic’ symptoms, which interfere with a person’s perception of reality, and may include hallucinations such as seeing, hearing, smelling or feeling things that no one else can. . When we think about mental health problems we probably associate this to the second group, the one that is easy to see. . What we don’t realise is that neurotic mental health symptoms are another form of issue which we have all probably gone through at some point in our lives. . Some people are better than others to hide their issues.. but the only way to fix a problem is to recognise it and to speak them out. . ➡️Let’s not ignore those problems, let’s chat with someone. It is not just a shaker👇🏼‼️ - 📢The 10th of October will be MENTAL HEALTH DAY and @myproteinuk started a campaign to support this cause which I am happy and proud to be a part of! - In fact, they will be making a £100,000 donation to a number of Mental Health Charities around the world, with £2.50 of each shaker donated to a local Mental Health charity. - ‼️1 in 4 people will experience some kind of mental health issue: it basically means that, aware or not, we are surrounded by someone who is facing a problem, visible or not.. - In my opinion one of the most powerful messages is ❗️NO PROBLEM IS TOO SMALL❗️ . Sometimes we think that because others have bigger problems than ourselves they are not as important. But most big problems started out as something small.. - 🌟I think this day of awareness for mental health will hopefully encourage us to speak out our problems, because it is the only way to fix them. 🌟It will hopefully make someone ask “how are you?” to a friend or colleague in a time of need and make a big difference. - NO PROBLEM IS TOO SMALL - #strongertogether

Happy national fitness day!🏃🏻‍♀️🏋🏻‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️ - 💁🏻‍♀️For the occasion I thought to post this video which is a famous Crossfit workout called “DT”. - The weights used for the original workout are insanely heavy 😅 but what is good about Crossfit is you can scale almost any workout; so this is what I did for this one and you could do the same with a weight you feel comfortable with or no weight at all, just the bar!☺️ - 📌5 Rounds For Time . 12 Deadlifts . 9 Hang Power Cleans . 6 Push Jerks - For those who follow Crossfit, the stage 1 Crossfit Games event was on a few days ago, and there was no surprise on who is leading! @tiaclair1 and @mathewfras are just the best, 2 superhumans🦄 - It is definitely worth it to watch the Crossfit games, even if you don’t practice the sport: in case you lack motivation these people will inspire you to get back to training, guaranteed!💥💥💥

📆 There are 2 times of the year where I go full on: my birthday and Christmas🎈 🎅 - 3 days of indulgence which I don’t regret even a bit!👌 - I literally have had everything I want this weekend, not much to drink really (I am not a big drinker) but lots of food, chocolate and treats until I was super full😋😋😋 - Yes, I have had it all; but that’s it. Not even a part of me would be able to sustain this type of lifestyle🙅🏻‍♀️. I just can’t wait to wake up tomorrow and hit the gym or go for a run, get back to my routine and the food I love to eat, the healthy ones!🤩🙌💪🏼 - 3 days with lots of food and NO exercise make me feel full of energy which I want to use for all my workouts💥💪🏼 (I feel slow and just not fully happy if I can’t train🐌🙈). I feel exercising is almost a medicine💊: . Good for your mood . Physical Health . Mental health - I love to stop sometimes and give myself the time to recover and refuel but I love even more to get back to it, with more energy than before!💥💥💥

Here is a simple medicine ball workout. - I love simple but effective workouts👊🏼💥 - 🔵The medicine ball has been one of those cheap and cheerful tools that we have used a lot in isolation. Perfect if you train at home and don’t want to spend too much money in gym equipment. - 👉🏼This workout will focus on your lower body and abs: . 1️⃣ 5x10 twisting lunges (each side) . 2️⃣ 5x20 Russian twist . 3️⃣ 5x20 Ball slam . 4️⃣ 5x20 Front squats - What is your favorite medicine ball exercise? 🏋🏻‍♀️All you need is a barbell. - Did it ever happen to you: you arrive at the gym, it is super busy and your gym plan requires you to go up and down the gym from one machine/equipment to another!?😫🤯🤬 - It has happened to me, so here is a quick workout where all you need is a barbell and some weights💁🏻‍♀️: no walking around the gym looking for equipment, so you can focus on your workout 💪🏼💥

⏱TEMPO in weight training refers to the speed that you lift the weight (the concentric phase of movement) and how quickly you lower the weight (the eccentric phase of movement). Tempo is typically shown as a 3 or 4 digit number, with each number referring to the speed at which part of the exercise should be performed. . I love to add this technique to my workout routine, for many different reasons: . ❇️ It creates better body awareness (you have a lot of time to think on every single aspect of your technique in those 3 seconds you are going down!😂) . ❇️ It removes the elastic “bounce” that normal squatting uses. This makes it more muscle dominant and strengthens the whole movement more. . ❇️ Increases time under tension - this is one of the key components of hypertrophy which i posted about previously. . ❇️ Variety. Changing up the stimulus of training can be one way of stimulating the body to keep adapting if you have been doing the same thing for a while. - How to perform: . 1️⃣Count 3,2,1 from top to bottom . 2️⃣Rest 1 second at the bottom . 3️⃣Stand up as fast as possible - This TEMPO variation can be used for every type of exercise, not just squat. - I would of course use a lighter weight because, you probably see it on my face, it is pretty hard!😅🥵 - I found it so beneficial for me that I couldn’t not share it💫 - Do you use tempo in your workouts?

🔥🍑 SWIPE and SAVE! If you are looking for DOMS this is definitely what you will get with this glutes workout 😂 - 🙌 Single legs workouts are a game changer. Just when you think you got stronger with your hip thrust ... but then you can hardly do a single leg hip thrust😂(me🙋🏻‍♀, btw). - I did hip thrust 70 kg 4x10 the other day but JUST managed 20 kg with a single leg!🤯 - Single leg workouts are great for: 🔹hip stability 🔹Trunk control 🔹strength (will help you get stronger in your lower body workouts) - In the video I am performing 3 exercises, but with big volumes, believe me if I say you don’t need to do much more after that, just do them properly!!😅🔥🔥🔥 - 4x10 left split squat . 4x10 right spilt squat . 4x10 left single leg hip thrust . 4x10 right single leg hip thrust . 4x10 rdl to deadlift - My feedback from this workout is I have had DOMS for 2 days, which doesn’t happen often 😂 It also shows that it is a unique training style, and can be used to complement normal training too! - Let me know if you try💥💪🏼

👉🏼Yesterdays workout was BACK and SHOULDERS. Swipe⏩⏩ - Started with a 20 mins warm up with assault bike and ski machine🚴🏻‍♀⛷ - I went for some classics and added Y raises, in the third video (which I think I will add to my gym program as it focuses on upper back and traps) - Tri-set 🔻Shoulder press 4x8 🔻Bent over row 4x10 (looking at the video I have realized my hands should be less closer, so I will correct myself next time) 🔻Y raise 4x10 (I should be going a bit higher..) - Finished off with some dumbbells lateral/front raises and handstand shoulder taps💥 - I have had more to give but at that point I was hungry so It was time to go🤪 - I hope everyone is having a great Friday 🌟

⏺ Loaded Abs workout - This is literally one of my favourite abs routine💥. Especially after 4 months of body weight abs workouts I am loving to be back using different weights to get a stronger core. - Nothing fancy here, I would usually do 3/5 rounds at the end of my session depending on how much energy I have left, non stop: . 1️⃣plate plank for 30 sec . 2️⃣10 alekna (make sure your core is tight and you don’t arch your back!) . 3️⃣20 Russian twists - I have performed with 20kg, 2x5kg and 2x5kg but it can be done with any weight you feel comfortable.. or no weight at all! . . . Today was lower body💥 - As much as I love deadlifts and RDLs, I have really enjoyed being back using some of the machines for a more isolated workout 🤩🙌 - From today’s workout: . 20 mins stairs climber . 4x6 deadlift @ 75 . 4x6 RDL @ 55 . 5x10 Hamstring curl . 5x10 leg curl . 10 mins abs - Absolutely loved it 😍 - Videos are in terribile quality (sorry!😅) but you’ll see the workout 💪🏼

In my opinion, protein is definitely the most important macronutrient👑 - In a previous post I have talked about proteins and what they are, but the big question is, especially if you weight train, why should I care about protein and how much do I need?🤔 - 📌You should care because eating protein is what helps your muscles recover after training, and helps grow your muscle too! 📌Once you start eating adequate amounts of protein you will probably notice a decreased appetite, as protein is well known to keep you full for longer (compared to carbs or fats). - ✅If you are serious about your training you must make sure to get a good amount of protein from your food or supplements. 📚Many sources agree the best amount for better performance is 1.6g-2.2g/kg (bare in mind there are a lot of studies that have a variety of recommendations, but as an average this amount is probably the most agreed with) - All this info is from trusted sources, but from my personal experience I can say I agree! 💁🏻‍♀️ - I started controlling my protein intake when I wanted to improve my performance in the gym and I have definitely achieved better results since then!💥💥💪🏼

This band has been a great, cheap, flexible tool during these months without the gym! - It is something I have always ignored or thought it could be useful just as warm up. Well, I was wrong! - Here are just a few exercises I have been doing during lockdown with the resistance band: 1️⃣Bicep curl . 2️⃣Lateral raise . 3️⃣Shoulder press . 4️⃣Standing banded row . 5️⃣Kick back . 6️⃣Standing chest press . 7️⃣Thrusters - As the resistance is not heavy I usually perform 4x20 of each. - Never underestimate a resistance band!!
