Giving y'all a behind-the-scenes look at a new direction in my online shop👇🏽
When I think about where I'd like to see my lettering in the world, I always come back to the same things: on the coffee mug they sip out of every morning; on the wall of their office where they do their 9 to 5 grind; on the t-shirt they wear when they want to make a statement without saying a word. I have ALWAYS wanted to create work that is both personal and relatable.
On the flip side, I have also always treated my online shop as a "nice to have"—more of an afterthought than a real avenue to share my creative voice. That changes today!
I want to be more conscious about making work that really speaks to people. So, as @andyjpizza calls it, I've decided I'm going to start "writing on stage" with the work that goes into my shop—meaning that I'm going to be sharing work as I go and gauging the response. If y'all like it, it goes in the shop; if y'all don't, then it disappears into the never-ending void where forgotten art creations go (including that old DeviantArt account you forgot about 💀).
This piece is the first in this new direction I'm going in. I'd really love to get your input as I move forward. So, go ahead, let me know—what kind of work do you want to see from me? What work that I have do you like already? What should I make more of? I'm so excited to hear your feedback!
