Took some time yesterday to listen and learn from what others had to say online & became totally inspired by the discovery of @grandbabycakes amongst many other Black creators that I recently started following! I just made Jocelyn’s cajun shrimp linguine recipe (with clams because I’m allergic to shrimp and with mafaldine because I’m out of linguine) and it is SO good. There was an “omgggg” followed by almost every bite - that’s when you know. 😊🔥✨ . I’ll share her recipe link to my story! Everything about Bryant has made me a better person since the day we met (10+ years ago!) I only share so much on here about my life, but he sees it all and has been with me through a lot over this last year. These turned out berry cute. 🍓 (Pls pretend that strawberry emoji is actually a raspberry, thx.) Raspberry cheesecake bars recipe now on FoodsofJane.com! (Dairy + nut free - can be gluten free too if using gf graham crackers.) It’s like a raspberry popsicle and cheesecake all in one and I’m crazy about themmm!! ALSO, since the top layer is just maple syrup and puréed fruit with an optional scoop of @vitalproteins collagen - you could easily swap out the raspberry for blueberry, strawberry or whatever!! ✨

That feeling when the calamari and pasta shape are itenticle. 🦑 Easiest calamari pasta ever and one of my fave ways to incorporate seafood into pasta: - Pour the entire contents of a 28 oz can of whole peeled tomatoes into a large skillet with a few minced garlic cloves and some ripped parsley. - Carefully break apart the whole tomatoes. Season with salt, pepper and red pepper flakes too if you like spice! Optional: add a few tbsp white wine. - Bring sauce to a bubble. - Add about a cup of raw calamari rings to the skillet and toss them in the bubbling sauce for 60 seconds. Remove from heat immediately to avoid a rubbery, overlooked calamari texture. Mix cooked pasta into the sauce and season with salt and pepper before eating.

The pic I took for you guys vs the pic I sent to my bff last night. Dying 😂 Although I’m for sure in a constant pasta phase, I also have a mini side-phase going on right now where I’m obsessed with healthy lil treats. Hope you aren’t mad about it - my baking posts don’t do half as well as my pasta posts but they make me happy and that’s what I’m here for!! . NUT FREE healthy-ish snickerdoodle bites. (Makes about 20 bites) In a food processor, blend 1.5 cup gf flour (I use Pamelas) and 1 cup oat flour with 1 tsp baking powder, 1/4 cup @kweenandco granola butter, 1 tbsp cinnamon, 2 tbsp warmed coconut oil, 1/4 cup coconut palm sugar, 3/4 cup vanilla rice milk or oat milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. I added a scoop of collagen powder but it’s not required. Roll into teaspoon sized balls and flatten a tiny bit. Bake for 15 minutes at 350° F. For the frosting: in a blender or stand mixer, combine 2 tbsp vegan butter, 1/4 cup cream cheese (I used Daiya vegan bc there’s no nuts), 1 tbsp maple syrup, 1/4 tsp vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
