I’m not here to serve you by answering the minute details of how paint drys, which really depends on your weather BTW. Have fun experimenting 🙌🏼 find the joy in the doing, make mistakes, learn the magic of something new through doing something new. Layered in 2006! Many moons ago, this work was originally carved with a top coat of a light mushroom shade, but it really didn’t look great so around 2012, even after it was carved, I gave it a new lease on life with a fresh top coat of dark gunmetal grey. Making it 42 layers of carved acrylic on a 650 x 650mm board. Ready set COOK! Yes that’s right apron is going on today, however this time I’m in mum’s kitchen prepping for the weekend workshop. I spent many hours in a kitchen growing up, paying my way through uni, so I have to say, those skills have definitely come in handy.
